It’s the Post War Contemporary Sale tonight at Christie’s and there are a number of charming lots. Not too long ago I would have used PWC as an acronym for Price Waterhouse Coopers, the accounting firm … how long it’s been since those days! This particular painting by Freud captures my heart- I find myself asking if the rabbit is alive sleeping or dead and I like that quizzical element of it- an answer which depends on my mood of the moment.
